Matt Hancock quits as health secretary after breaking social distance guidance

Matt Hancock has resigned as health secretary after he breaking social distancing guidance by kissing a colleague.

He did so to be "honest" with those who "have sacrificed so much in this pandemic" because he "let them down".

Ms Coladangelo, the non-executive director of the Department of Health, will also leaving her role. She was an old friend of Mr Hancock and appointed to the role in September 2020.

The man who had banned casual relationships for a year was caught out having one himself. Neither he or the PM Boris Johnson any intention of taking any action over this hypocrisy but were forced to do.

Mr Hancock apologised to his family and loved ones for "putting them through this". Is that for breaking covid guideline or having an affair or both?.

Mr Hancock has ended his 15-year marriage to his wife Martha.
